Modern mountain bikes have redefined the sport and have capability that was previously unheard of. Never before has there been a better time to ride mountain bikes. These machines are approachable, easy to maintain, and provide an outlandishly fun experience. In this course, we will dive into what separates the new generation of bikes from their predecessors of just a few years ago. With so many substantial innovations in the last several years, this course provides a great start for those just starting out or jumping back into riding, and the experienced rider who wants to better understand what the latest advances offer. We will cover bike geometry, tubeless tires, cockpit setup, wheel size, braking, drive train, dropper seatposts, and much more. This is a NO RIDE class and takes place entirely at The Bike Shop at Del Sur at no charge. The staff at the shop will be available before and after the course, but all instruction will be provided by Jim Bradford, operator of Del Sur Dirt. Please feel free to bring your current bike, if you would like, but it’s no necessary.
